Go to seven crossroads and leave at each one:
1 cup of water, 1 coin, 1 bread, saying:
"I am paying my debts to my ancestors, thank you."
At the last (seventh) crossroad, also leave a red rose.
The crossroads are magical places, where 4 paths cross (form a cross) and represent the 4 elements and four cardinal points.
Since the days of Greece and ancient Rome, statues were placed at the crossroads in honor of Hekate, the goddess of magick, of the night, of witches.
In vodú they associate crossroads with Papa Legba, in Umbanda and Quimbanda they associate with Eshús and Pombagiras, including the Eshú of the seven crossroads.
As vehicles and people constantly circulate on these roads, there is a symbolic flow of energies, both physically and on the astral plane.
